Meditation For Weight Loss - Does It Work? (Hint - The Real Reason Most Monks Are Skinny!)

You are sick and tired of being heavy. You've tried just about every new nutritional idea, excruciating exercise program and fly by night fad diet under the sun. And if you're anything like the vast majority of people reading this...NOTHING has worked. You still can't seem to lose weight, and you're starting to run out of options.

But close your eyes and picture this...

It's a great question. And one that the SCIENCE of spirituality...and the soul...is only NOW trying to answer. The fact is, meditation re-wires your brain....AND, as many scientists are now discovering, much of the way the REST of your body responds to your brain as well. For example, "lessons learned" in a meditative state seem to be much more powerful than those taken in during ordinary states.

This means, mantras....or affirmations about weight loss for example, that are processed by the meditative mind seem to "flick a switch" in your internal wiring that regulate how FAST your body burns fat, for example. (still a controversial topic...but one that many scientists and researchers now believe is 100% true)

Deep and blissful brain states....which meditation is designed to facilitate, have an AMAZING amount of untapped transformational potential. Many cultural and religious traditions that practice meditation have VERY low incidences of the physical problems we face in the West....including much lower incidence of obesity. (and the REAL reason why so many monks and "Zen" practitioners do NOT have the "buddha belly" they are commonly depicted as having....MOST hard core meditators are in PHENOMENAL shape well into their senior years..:-)

And remember....many of us OVEREAT.....not because we are hungry, but because we are STRESSED..:-)

And if there is anything that ALL scientists agree on....it's that meditation is an amazing way to get INSTANT stress relief. (and the bountiful benefits to your BODY that brings.....are beautiful to boot!)
